D-200 MKII receives PFO Writer's Choice Award!

We sent Greg Weaver of Positive Feedback a pair of D-200 MKII's about 6 months ago for review.
He loved them so much he bought the review samples and gave them "Writer's Choice" award for 2010.

Congrats Dusty.

Do any audiocirclers have feedback on these?
Are they a reasonable upgrade from the original D200?
How do they compare to the D500s? Same sound but lower power?

Any opinions or mini-reviews?

Any idea when the review is coming out? I didn't see the D-200 MKII's mentioned in the up coming review section, of their website.

We really don't know, you would need to contact PFO.

D-200 mkII are burning in right now. They are replacing the 'mkI's.

I have, but never got a response. I also made a post about this over on Audio Asylum, on the Critics forum. Positive Feedback is not the only publication to give out an award on a product first, with a promise to follow up with a FULL review, that never materialized. Kind of sticks in my craw.

I've had email contact with Greg and he's seen your post...
He apologized and said he's been very busy with personal things, but promised the review will be out by the first week in September.

Looks like your post might get some action...we'll see

Kind of beside the point. The point being a reviewer for Positive Feedback, promised to release a followup, and full review, after bestowing a prestigious award. If this online publication wishes retain any credibility, they should follow through with their promise.
