Need Room Treatment Help

Below is a quick drawing I made of my room. It's not exactly to scale, but should be close enough for this.  Trying to determine what I need to buy as far as acoustic treatment.  I currently have 3, GIK 242 panels, and would like to use GIK for the rest of the treatments.  I currently have curtains all around the walls, but plan on removing them once I get proper acoustic treatment.  This room also has a vaulted ceiling.  The walls to the left and right go up 9' and then slant to around 15'.

Some issues:
1. There isn't enough room in the front corners for gik tri-traps
2. There's a 8' wide screen between the speakers, which prevents me from moving them closer together.
3.  The screen is also making it difficult to treat the wall it's on.

I appreciate any help I can get with this  :)

It's probably impractical but I have to say the first thing that comes to my mind is to turn your room around the long way.   I think you would get better LR balance and more coherent sound without the back wall right behind you.   Can you use a retractable screen and mount the projector on the ceiling?

The walls on the left and right of the room aren't tall enough for my screen.  They are 9' tall before the begin to slant.  The other 2 walls are 15' tall.

I've been speaking with Bryan Pape from GIK.  He's given me some ideas also.

The plan is to raise my screen up a couple feet (assuming it's still comfortable).  This will allow me to move my speakers closer together without blocking the screen.  With my speakers closer together, I should be able to pull my seating farther away from the wall without messing up the imaging.    It will also allow me to add some panels below the screen.

Here's what I'm thinking, but it's not finalized.

244 in each corner
Monster bass trap behind the seating
242 on the sides of the speakers
4, 242 below the screen

I got it.  So you have a barn shaped room with the flat walls being the long ones.  What you say makes sense.  Have you thought of trading in your HT2s for Sound Scapes which are shorter?  You wouldn't have to raise the screen very much, if at all.

Yes, I've put lots and lots of thought into it. My plan is to complete my 5.1 set up, so below is what that looks like.

Cost of center channel to match my HT2-TLs = approx $1700
Receiver = $600
3 Channel AVA Amp = $1200
Song Surrounds = $1000
Subs = $1000

Total = $5500

Now pretend I decide to sell my HT2-TLs and the extra matching veneer I have.

I really like my speakers and assume someone else would too, so lets say $4000  8)

I then combine that with the money I would have spent on completing my 5.1 setup and I have $9500

So, I could have a 5.1 setup with my HT2 TLs or a 2.0 setup with SoundScapes for about the same price  :scratch:

Is there room behind the speakers at the wall-floor corner for Tri-Traps? This would be your most effective location for bass trapping...

Are you asking if I can use them horizontally rather than vertically?

Yup, this would be a good alternative if you don't want to move the speakers, though it sounds like you have a plan to move the speakers and free up space for them vertically.

Thanks, I'll check when I get home.

I also plan on moving within the next year or two (hopefully).  I could possibly use the tri traps now as you describe, and then stand them up when I move.
