Tang Band DIY Speaker Kits (UK)
« on: 26 Nov 2010, 11:12 am »
Not sure where to post this as I'm not a dealer or manufacturer, just a keen audio DIYer. But I have produced a kit, the DBR-100, for the TB W4-657D full ranger in a double bass reflex enclosure.

The DBR-100 kit includes all the parts required to build a pair of speakers and 14 precision CNC machined 18mm MDF cabinet panels with slots and rebates for accurate and easy assembly. (Panels for one enclosure shown above).

Hardware includes drivers, port tubes, terminal plates, acoustic wadding, connecting wire, solder, screws, gasket tape and filter coils.

Hey Steve, welcome to AC and to a larger audience.  I truly enjoyed going through your website, especially about your stories about the HiFi shops you owned.  Fantastic reading.  Hope your kits sells well.
I do note that there is a lot of DIY drivers and plans out there but very few people who sell entire kits with cabinets, especially for very interesting items.

Many thanks for your interest and good wishes  :D

When I arranged the CNC machining for the cabinets I couldn't decide whether or not to include front grills. Do you guys think they'd be more appealing, especially to the ladies of the household, if they were included?

Steve
