To be honest I do not know if they were at the input or the output. The caps that I changed are the 2 blue caps on the board right above the AD 797 chip and were the exact same size. The unit is not easy to work on and there is about .250 clearance under the board, so bypassing them would be dependant on physical size. I thought about bypassing the electrolytics, but no room underneath. This was the easiest way to get a "better" sound out of this preamp. Cost as said was 80 cents. Sound improved at least by 75% or more. Still breaking in...Well worth the $120.00 delivered to door price.
