I'm with you Tyson, but I will go for Basie and actually be happy with plain old Chivas.

I remember Home Theater magazine used to have a section where they recommended an appropriate wine for the movie they were reviewing.  Surprising one of the audio mags hadn't done the same.

I just got the new Buddy Guy "Living Proof", I wonder what would go good with some good old Chicago Blues?

I've got to disagree.

As much as I enjoy a good single malt from time to time, I think cannabis (although I haven't smoked in decades) is a much better match with Coltrane than alcohol.

As far as Bartok goes, I want to be as mentally coherent as possible when I listen to him. Nothing mind altering at all.

And sex always!

I have a head cold, so last night the following for relief;

The Avant-Garde: John Coltrane & Don Cherry on 180g Rhino re-release vinyl,
Russell's Reserve Rye, 6 yr old,
Sudafed.

Probably could have forgone the 3rd shot of Rye, but I felt so much better after it. And slept like a baby.
