A Question For James Tanner
« on: 23 Nov 2010, 07:24 pm »
Hi James,
I was wondering when Bryston is going to get in the radiused faced plates for the CD Player. My cd player went in over a month ago to get firmware updates as well as a new display and the radiused faceplate. Two weeks ago the player returned from Bryston to my dealer with the updates and new display but not the front plate so my dealer sent it back to get this done thinking it got accidently over looked. My dealer called Bryston a few days ago and talked with Mike and he said they did not have any at this time and didn't know when they would have more. I guess my question is why didn't Bryston 2 weeks ago inform my dealer when they returned the player that they have no radiused faceplates for the forseeable future.

Hi Mark,

I checked with production and we did not get shipped enough radius faceplates other than for production of new units only.  It appears your unit is here and we are taking a faceplate from a production unit for you.

Should leave today.

Wow, thanks James for the fast reply and action. Your company has superior customer service. By the way iam at work and showed my co-workers your fast reply and solution and they were very impressed. I have a few people here that are looking at aquiring a good quality stereo system and i think you may have a few more orders soon on various components.

Thanks again.

Just want to thanks James and the folks at Bryston for taking care of the CDP. The new display performs perfectly and the new radiused face plate makes a subtle but more uniform appearance with the other Bryston gear.
Also want to add that the problems that i was having when pressing the play button on the front of the CDP causing it to say error all the time and not close has worked flawlessly since i got'er back.

Hi Robert, if you can believe me although i have over 15k invested in audio equipment so far i, actually do not own a camera go figure.
I'll try to get my hands on one and take a few shots.  :thumb:

I will look - it looks identical except the left and right sides are slanted instead of square.
