I've come back the the AVA T8 preamp with my high efficiency loudspeaker.
There is a persistent problem with noise (hash) on my left channel.
I swapped input interconnects, and the noise remained. I swapped drive tubes, without change.
I tried swiping the volume and balance controls with no effect. Cycling the tape/input stereo/mono switch made no difference.
Finally, switching to an alternate input, the noise has gone...
the connection at the RCA inputs seems loose, on all inputs.
Could the noise source be as simple as a light point of contact?
