How can you be in two places at the same time when you're not anywhere at all?

Born on the West Coast, live on the East Coast, lived everywhere in between.  Which gives me the singular and nearly useless ability to identify the demographics of any address you give me by merely looking at it.  I say nearly useless because it does serve me very well in my current profession.  Guess what I do.

I live just north of San Francisco since October 2002....born in Flushing, NY, raised on Long Island, with pit stops outside of Philly (for college) and Washington DC (for 8+ years)

My dad is in Glen Oaks, sis in Syosset, Mom-in-Law in Stony Brook, relatives all over the tri-state area, still.

But, travel back is normally only 1-2x yearly as youngin's school gets in the way.

I was born in North Flushing, 164th Street...close to the Whitestone border, a few blocks from Bowne Park.  I still have a close bud in Bayside, too (don't see him much anymore, tho)

Born in Cadiz, Ohio, reputed birthplace of Charlie Manson.  Grew up in greater Pittsburgh, lived in the Boston area for 33 years and now reside in Phoenix's east valley area, where I'm staying.  No more snow & ice for this boy.  If I miss it, I can drive up to Flagstaff for a quick look and head back to the Valley of the Sun 8).

Not sure that's where Charley is from........but the next town over, New Rumley, is where Custer was from.

I enjoyed my visits to Michigan, mostly work but managed to spend one Winter day touring the trails on snowmobile.
Pretty awesome - Nothing like that here in Blighty  :D

Born in Albany, NY and lived in that area until college.  Went to college in North Adams, MA - the MA/NY/VT border.  What a hell hole that was!

Went to grad school at Niagara University in Niagara Falls, NY.  The falls are nice for about 15 minutes, then you realize the city of Niagara Falls is a disaster.

Moved to Irvington, NY (Westchester County) shortly after grad school and stayed for 6 years.  Just moved to Stamford, CT a few months ago, which is all of 20 minutes away from Irvington.

How's this for diversity:  born in Harrisburg, PA, raised in Harrisburg PA, currently live in Harrisburg, PA.  Graduate of THE Pennsylvania State Univerrsity.  Kinda reminds me of Hugh Jackman at the academy awards talking about his range as an actor, "I'm an Australian who plays an Australian in a film called Australia" :D.
