That's kind of crazy money, but indicative of the market.  I got really lucky on the MoFi Sinatra box ($175) and the Beatles ($300), so I'm still holding out for a good deal on the Stones.

I suggest looking for one that doesn't have a perfect box and has been played once or twice.  The collectors tend to go for the pristine ones and want nothing to do with anything that's got a few blemishes.  For me, as long as the vinyl sounds good, that's all I care about.

Don't know if I'll get as lucky with the Stones, but staying hopeful!

Revisiting the SACD's vs. the MoFi box, it's awfully close.  Of course it will depend on your analog vs. digital front end, but here comparing Spiral Groove SG-2/Triplanar/Grado Statement 1 through ARC REF Phono 2 to dCS Paganini stack SACD, it's virtually identical.  I could live happily with either and think I'm just going to grab the two SACD's I don't have!
