I tend to go nuts when I buy tubes.    I order a bunch of different brands and vintages every time I get a new piece of gear so I can find the right combo to get the kind of sound I like.

Ideally, I'd like to get all of my money back and then some out of these :)  But I'll settle for getting close to my money back out of them and have priced things accordingly.  All tubes are either NOS, or slightly used after I bought them NOS, or good measuring and sounding used items.

NOTE:  I've sold a number of these tubes now (thanks everyone that bought!).  Please pay attention the quantity available as I've adjusted those numbers and not taken new photos of the tubes as some of them have sold.  The quantity available should be accurate as of the edit date on this post.  I've left the original photos with the full lot of tubes available for convenience sake to see the tubes themselves.

6SN7 octal tubes available:

Qty 2 (1 pair) RCA JAN CRC-6SN7-GT - some are NOS, some are used but test as new.  I *really* like this tube.  Big fat tone.  Not hyper detailed super neutral.  This one has tone, tone, and more tone.  Great bass with a listenable top end.  If you really want to hear the detail, it's there.  But this is more about adding a bit of richness to thing.

$40 a pair for these plus shipping.

Qty. 2 (1 pair) Sylvania 6SN7W metal based tubes.  Many consider these to be the best 6SN7 made (the debate continues to rage with the short bottle plastic base version of this tube and the Tunsol round plates).  This is a good pair that I used for a little bit in a preamp.  I honestly was using it sparingly as it was a good sounding pair that I was rationing use of to make them last longer.  I don't remember any microphonics at all with these...

These regularly sell for >$400 per pair.  I'd like at least $200 for the pair....

Qty. 4 (2 pair) Sylvania 6SN7GTB chrome domes shorter bottle.  These are used tubes and I have no idea how many hours they have on them.  sounded A-OK in my setup. I remember they tested fine and sounded fine in my setups.  that's all I can remember at the moment....

$25 per pair.

Qty. 11 (5.5 pairs) RCA 6SN7Gt smoke glass.  These aren't the VT231 smoke glass tubes, but sound identical in many respects.  Everything you expect in an RCA 6SN7.

$25 per pair...

Qty 2 (1 pair) Tungsol 6SN7GT "round plates" - have the same internal structure as one of the holy grails of 6SN7 tubes.  These are labeled as GE and Baldwin... but they sound and look the part.  One tube is slightly microphonic but still very usable.  I used these in a 6SN7 based tube preamp for a while.  Used but test very well.  authentically labeled units go for $250-$400 a pair.  Make me an offer.

Tubes will be packaged well for shipping.  All sales final unless item arrives damaged or doesn't function.  I'll either swap it if I have more or give full refund including shipping to you and paying for return shipping back to me.  I've tested these tubes upon initially receiving them and/or have tested them in actual gear in the last year.  So everything should be fully functional as described... you know how (in some cases) nearly 70 year old tubes can be though....

First post updated to remove sold items and update the quantities on some items that have partially sold.  Thanks!

Please pay attention to the total number available and not the photos as some quantities are now less than shown in the photo.

For those that have purchased, everything is shipped out to you as of this morning.  You should all see your tubes in a couple days.  Thanks again!

first post updated with current tubes left for sale.  Please take note of quantities available as the pictures no longer represent the amount of tubes left and I'm too lazy to take new photos :)
