Hi, I know that this is subjective, but I'm looking for a DAC project, and I'm wondering if there are some that stand out as being sonically superior. I guess I'm pretty agnostic about whether it oversamples or upsamples, but so far, my favorite commercial players do some sort of upsampling. I tend to like the big dynamics, and my focus is on an accurate, natural, transparent reproduction, as opposed to warm and musical, but I'm not really dogmatic. I'll be looking into everything from multiple stages of battery power to Bybees if that gives you any idea of the level of lunacy that I'm willing to embark upon.
Has anyone got any experience with
