Today I picked up a Marantz SR 6000.
This one is rated at 88 wpc I'm not even sure if it works and I haven't paid anything for it yet.
I brought it home on a trial basis also some Sony ES preamp a rough pair of Infinity Qb
speakers the reciever is very dirty but we will see if it works first

I have a 2220B that's never had the cover off and sounds and looks like new.  Shame that I don't use it much anymore.  Anyone is interested in it, just drop me a PM.

The Infinity Qb speakers are a no go as one has blown tweeter
The Sony preamp made a loud pop so that goes back but it's
not a total loss the Marantz works but the pots need cleaning..................Bill

Opened it up gave the volume and balance pot a squirt of craig deoxit
and it plays fine. Tomorrow I'll take outside with some compressed air
and a soft brush and clean out the overwelming amount of dust. Then
I'll remove the front panel and knobs for a good scrubbing...................Bill

Don't forget that the Infinity Q's have a fuse protected tweeter (I'm assuming they are the Emit tweeter). You might get lucky, I did with my Qe's.

Thanks Scott but that was the first thing I checked still no go on the tweeter. I didn't pay anything up
front so they just go back................Bill

I had picked up a Marantz reciever about a year and 1/2 ago which my father now uses.
I called him yesterday and it turns to be the same model. So now I own two, as far as the
speakers go I felt he was asking to much for the condition , I most likely would have
returned them anyway................Bill
