I just saw this one last night- it was a bit of a letdown.  The movie was okay, but the funniest parts were all in the trailers.  Amy Smart & Carmen Electra making out was the high point of the movie (okay, that's not really a criticism- that would be the high point of a lot of movies! :P ).

Stiller & Wilson do have a great onscreen chemistry, though.  Owen Wilson never fails to crack me up.

I didn't like the original series too much.  It was often serious and dramatic... and boring.  How many late 70's and early 80's movies are going to be spoof movies?  I may see it, I may not.  I'm sure it'll be in the previously-viewed bargain-bin at Blockbuster soon.

Owen (and his brother) Wilson was really funny in Bottle Rocket.  Which if you haven't seen, I highly recommend as a cheapo.  Buy it used or rent it.  It is the essence of the Wilson brothers' humor.

Agree 100% on Bottle Rocket, great little movie.  It was Wes Andersons debut too, so if you liked Rushmore, you will like Bottle Rocket.
