What places have you found to have good prices and customer service?

I need to get a new bulb for my old Panny AE-900 pj that I use in a secondary system.

Thanks,

George

George,
I don't know, but I sent your request to my friend who services professional theaters in a tri-state area.  He may have a good
source for you.

I'll let you know.

Well, just got his reply:

He is actually better off getting the lamp from Panasonic. Many of the off brand lamps do not last very long. Also, he should be sure his fan is set to high if there is a two speed setting available. That will also increase lamp life.

Don't know if that helps you or not, George.

My fan is on the high setting.   :thumb:

The Panny lamp is selling for around $350-380.

The OEM lamps are selling for $150-200.

Unless the Panny lamp is going to last more than twice as long, seems like I am better served by going with an OEM replacement.

My advice is to find a vendor you're comfortable with, then send them a link to wherever you find the cheaper deal, and ask them to match. I have dealt with Projector People for years doing this. Their advertised prices are not always competitive, but whenever I've asked them to price match they have done so. That way I know I'm able to deal with folks who have earned my business with excellent customer service.
