The irony just jumps out of the tube at you.  A collection of MP3 playing smartphones piled up on the glorious straight analog VPI Classic.  I have one of my own and wouldn't trade it for a barrel of smartphones :D.

They are spinning in the wrong direction and there is no belt connected to the platter.

It's New Zealand...that's how platters spin in the southern hemisphere doncha' know (toilets, too) :wink:
