Speakers are 1 1/2 yrs. old. They are in black satin with rosewood fronts. Have bi-wire posts and aluminum feet. Excellent to perfect condition. Price is $2450 plus shipping. The reason for the lower than expected price is one of the bass cabinets is deeper than the other. Somehow they didn't catch that they were different at Salk Sound until they were finished and ready to ship. Jim called and asked if I wanted them this way at a discount or did I want them redone. The volume of the cabinets was adjusted to be the same and Jim said the performance of the speakers would be the same. One speaker is just one inch deeper than the other. No one has ever noticed or commented about it. You can see a picture of my speakers on the Salk website. They also were at AKfest '09. They look beautiful and sound great. I had HT-2s prior to these and you can find my comparison of the two elsewhere in the Salk circle. I am currently driving them with a Pass Labs INT-30A and it is a perfect match. 30 good watts is all you need.
I didn't think I would ever be selling these, but my youngest graduated from college in May and is on her own. So, why not? I bought some used Dynaudio Confidence C4s. So these have to go. I am in Birmingham, Al. 35226.
