Mackie HR824?

Guys

I'm considering these for my computer-based system and would like to hear thoughts from anyone who has heard them.  I listen mostly to rock and indie music.

I'm currently running an EMU 0404 USB into a UCD400 amp into Diycable Kit61 monitors and have zero complaints on sound (actually just the opposite -its pretty awesome)...I just like the idea of simplifying and the Mackies would allow me to run the EMU directly into them.

i had the hr824 for a while. at first they seemed like pretty solid performers. after a while though i just was not excited about listening, could not connect with the music.  I now have quad 12L active monitors that I really enjoy. you can pick them up for $700-800.  lately though sure want to try some GR neo 2 or 3
