I thought the film was excellent. I believe it is supposed to portray the poor folk in the Ozarks between Missouri and Arkansas.
Weren't they from Tennessee? Kissin cousins, maybe. They sure don't have anything else in common. Give it a play, Robin.
Forgive me if this is a bit off topic:This movie and the Ozarks always gets me to thinking about American traditional music, bluegrass, Appalachian music.Watched "The Long Riders" and played the Ry Cooder soundtrack. Best scene is Randy Quaid, yep, Randy Quaid dropping a silver dollar into the beer mug of the poor saloon guitarist, and saying, "I've got a request myself, "I'm a good ol' rebel!".http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5n6JQlzmepoRy Cooder Soundtrack, Import onlyhttp://www.amazon.com/Long-Riders-Ry-Cooder/dp/B0000076AV/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1288840527&sr=8-3
