Back in 1982 a jazz DJ on Boston's WGBH radio, "Eric in the Evening" used to play this title track almost every night. It's one of those melodies that sinks in and leaves a permanent stain, like many from Oliver Nelson. Every couple of years the melody pops into my mind out of nowhere and I have to listen to it many many times until I get bored of it again. It just popped up again this morning.
