Nice pickup, Rockadanny.  Whatever the reason, you can't go wrong with Buddy R.  The guy just wasn't human.    :thumb:

Buddy Rich - Playtime / Blues Caravan

A two-fer here of Rich's recordings with smaller bands (1960 / 1961, respectively)

I have to admit, I purchased this two-fer CD immediately after watching the movie "Whiplash" for a second time early last week. What an ending!  :drums:

Nice snag Dan.  :thumb:  I watched that about a month ago, and -Yep- great ending. A little weird to see Simmons being such a dick after all the Farmer's Insurance ads.  :D

Manhattan Jazz Quintet "Manteca"
Eddie Gomez, David Matthews, George Young, Lew Soloff, Peter Erskine

This is a very solid group of career pros, and well recorded.
