Adam Niewood ~ Homage

with.....
John Scofield
John Patitucci
Jack DeJohnette

Adam Neiwood is a local talent that Cathy and I went to see this Wednesday evening at Newberry's Yard Of Ale.
A local watering hole here in Stroudsburg PA. I enjoyed the evening so much that today I picked up his latest
CD titled Homage.

Looks like a nice place P-Man. Not familiar with Nieman but he certainly has a killer line-up on that disc!!

Bill Evans, sometime in the late 50's.:
"My Foolish Heart"

After this I finally see how much Keith Jarrett is enthralled with and influenced by Bill Evans.

A very satisfying set from David Sanborn teaming up with Joey DeFrancesco.  Don't let this one get by you.

David Sanborn - Only Everything

Personnel: David Sanborn: alto sax; Joey DeFrancesco: organ; Steve Gadd: drums; Bob Malach: tenor sax; Frank Basile: baritone sax; Tony Kadlock: trumpet; Mike Davis: bass trombone; Joss Stone: vocals; James Taylor: vocals.

Living Blues (p.50) - "Ray Charles, Hank Crawford, and David 'Fathead' Newman may no longer be with us, but David Sanborn manages to keep their memories burning intensely on ONLY EVERYTHING..."

Hi Cactus Bob.  Here's some top rated fusion for you.

Miles Davis - The Cellar Door Sessions 1970

Personnel: Miles Davis (trumpet); Miles Davis; John McLaughlin (guitar, electric guitar); Keith Jarrett (Fender Rhodes piano, electric organ); Michael J. Henderson (electric bass); Michael Henderson (bass guitar); Gary Bartz (soprano saxophone, alto saxophone); Jack DeJohnette (drums); Airto Moreira (percussion).

Recording information: The Cellar Door, Washington DC (12/16/1970-12/19/1970).

The Wire (p.54) - "Davis's music gushes out of this group as though they've just struck oil....Tempestuous sounds for turbulent times, and plenty for sated Miles fans to chew on afresh."
