Kicking off my evening of listening pleasure with Sonny Rollins, "The Bridge, Complete 1962 Sessions", along with my number one most favorite brew, limited scarce release, Founders Backwoods Bastard.
Sonny's first recorded album after his return to the jazz scene back in late 1961. Terrific music, accompanied by one of my favorite jazz guitarists, Jim Hall.
This CD release on Fresh Sound Records is very well done and has six tracks found on "The Bridge" as well as four tracks on "What's Now". Highly recommended for fans of Sonny as well as Jim Hall.
(And yes, those are flowers outside the window in hanging baskets. And yes, I'll be bringing them in tonight as the temps will get to bone-chilling numbers over night.)
