More great West Coast Jazz: Shelly Manne and His Men at the Blackhawk, vol. 3 original vinyl pressing on Contemporary records circa 1959. Nice rendition of Whisper Not by Benny Golson plus the rest of both sides are equally impressive. Excellent sonics in both Mono and Stereo.

Mountainscapes- Barre Philips (ECM, early seventies). There is some stuff on this I have never heard or imagined could come off a bass fiddle. This guy has technique and imagination that is thrilling. Very good use of a syntheziser, too, to make landscapes for his adventures. The tracks that I like, I love. Recommended.
