 I find myself somewhat in Dave's defense (his initial reaction to Volk's in the 'Ordered a CS15' thread) here because I too thought Volks forward display of 'Bryston out, Mac in' was in poor taste. Maybe Volks was just excited about his new gear and wanted to share with friends on this board, but I felt his, inappropriate, gushing as well. That and the fact that after having started a thread about a new CS15 (not even knowing what a Bryston BIT is) got sidetracked to Mac stuff.

I too greatly appretiate vegasdaves enthusiasm for Bryston products and I look forward to buying him a beer at CES in January. I understand his reaction to the original Volks posting. That particular posting occurred on 30 Nov and was in a thread titled: "Are you still impressed" Volks gushed over his new found love and wrote lines in a "Bryston" forum such as:

"what i heard comming from this MC 452 amp compared to my Bryston 4BSST2 made my head spin....."

I was not surprised to see some negative comments thrown at Volks. I was surprised that there was not more.

There is a difference here, however, with a graceful picture of equipment from an era past and located in a thread titled "I'll show you mine if you show me yours!" I'll explain (in an avuncular manner) the difference to vegasdave over 1 or 2 or 3 beers (however many it takes).

What are the Naim boxes?   nDAC and PSU?   People trash that DAC.  Can't understand why.

Yes it is a naim dac with xps power supply.

Well, my bp 26 has bryston dac, so I use to switch between the two DACs/sound in order to match specific music, both very good dacs in my opinion.

This is due to m2tech evo interface with both bnc and coaxial digital outputs.

In regard of the sound I really like to match british sound with bryston sound, both give the balance I like.

Bdp-1 it is on my future short list to replace the mac mini, but i have to save some cash.
