Way to regulate CD read speed in Mini?

Way to regulate CD read speed in Mini?

As it seems to be widely held that a slower CD drive read speed produces a better quality import to a hard disk drive, I've checked in System Preferences/Disk Utility but haven't been able to find any way to regulate it. Is there a way?

Rob, I'm sure several with much greater knowledge than me can chime in, but to my knowledge all youncan do is be sure and have error correction on.
