FS: PI Audio MuthaBuss
« on: 18 Oct 2010, 06:36 pm »
Up for sale is the amazing PI Audio MuthaBuss that Dave made special for me.  It is an amazing power conditioner with 18 outlets.

Asking $2600 including shipping / PayPal in the USA.

Thread on it http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=78133.0

From Dave at PI Audio:
9 duplex outlets: 3 Furutech FI15A gold ; 6 Pass & Seymour 5262 Spec Grade
The 3 Furutech are mounted with single covers to allow for large power
cables and a couple of big wallwarts that power his Wavelength Crimson, hard drives and such.  The other 6 duplexes are behind a six
     gang stainless steel cover.

2 gold plated Furutech FI33 20A inlets with specific circuit allocation per inlet

5 separate filter networks withindividual PFC networks for each duplex outlet.
One filter is specific to his 300 watt monoblocks; one to the digital gear.
Each individual filter is specifically designed for its' specific application.
The other 3 filters are for other pieces of gear.

The unit is wired with the same wire used for the power cables in the system.

Carefully and specifically selected components in the PFC networks including HV Sonicaps in the end filters.

Curly maple faceplate to match his Dodd Buffer with a Baltic birch case.

I always hate it when people ask this, but I gotta wonder, why are you selling this beast

Simple.  I can't really afford to give it away.

I would be inclined to laugh at this response but could have sworn you asked a similar question on another FS post.  This one:

I am curious why you are selling, too, after extolling the virtues of this conditioner.

Not really, but it doesn't really matter to me.  I was curious as to what you are upgrading to, but no longer.

Thanks anyway.

Be careful with all the scratching...you might irritate your scalp.   :)

It drives me nuts when I don't quote someone and then they delete their message.  Makes it seem like I'm talking to myself.

You're not speaking to yourself...I'm listening.  To answer your question, I might be having another made.
