Started the Room last night
« on: 11 Oct 2010, 04:53 pm »
And so it begins   :green: ... This was a preexisting room in the basement when we purchased the home and has been designated as an audio room since day 1.. but spent that last 8 years collecting junk..

Well, I put an end to that yesterday.. it's 14 x 20.. I laid down a fresh coat of paint last night, I will lay down the flooring and new lighting this week and start making the acoustic treatments.

A small GTG will be announced once the room is completed..

Cool...a dedicated room to store stuff in.... :)

Bob, are you trying to be hip with "the schnizel"?  I believe to word is shizzle.  Yours appear to be some Jewish barrio slang. :)

Randy,

Very cool  :thumb: You room has some nice dimensions which will help. All you need now is some thick carpeting then you can start dialing your room in with panels a little bit at a time.

Nice Randy,
I pm-ed you last night.  You really need to get that "Deep Space Nine" turntable project started and use a headless version of my v1 as the structural parts for a beautiful stand for you electronics.

Also, a nice picture panel from GIK with my speakers on it would look nice in the room too!!     This is my last week of marching band so I'm looking forward to hearing the v2.  See ya'

I'd rather be hip with "Schnitzel" than "shizzle"

2 layers of underlay and 150sqft of flooring laid and all cut by hand so not to wake up the kiddos :)
