Hi James,

In December of 2009, I became the proud father of a newly-built 3BSST/2 (delivered on time I might add too) from the fine folks of Whitby Audio & Video (I live 15 minutes from these guys) in Ajax.

I am an advanced "student" of Jazz guitar so over the years & years of practise & bleeding fingers, I have developed (humbly spoken) some pretty good pitch  Frankly speaking in owning the 3B power amp, mated to a BP6, for almost a year now, I am floored by the sound quality. I don`t make it a habit of using a theasurus to depict the sound like reviewers  but oh my goodness it is hands down the best amplifier I have ever owned. And I have owned some pretty impressive gear. My buddies are also extremely impressed with how clean it plays our Jazz music.

My rant...

Why is it that Toronto based retail shops generally don`t sell Bryston products but instead amps housed in exotic tone woods, & promises galore of the best sound reproduction of the universe? You need not answer but I find this appalling. Bryston stands by it`s products, manufactures amazing equipment, & as such it makes me proud to be Canadian

My ask of you...

Are there any upgrades I need on my 3BSST/2? I noticed you posting upgrades for I think the 7B.

Keep up the amazing work!

Rodney

* I would add "many" here.

I see that Rodney must of visited many of the same audio stores that I did when I was on my quest

Many of the sales staff at some of these audio stores reminded me of this character...

So the sales staff in your local audio stores were always trying to hump Loni Anderson? :)

I sincerely believe that most of them were trying to “hump” whom ever walked through their front doors.
