This is an excellent tube phono stage. A pure Class A single ended design, that uses no negative feedback. Presents a huge sound stage, has excellent placement of instruments, and has the grace and texture that a good tube phono stage is known for.
Comes with a couple of significant upgrades. The capacitors in the signal path are 1uf VCAP OIMP capacitors, which sell for $99.95 each. There are also a pair of large Russian paper in oil capacitors in the power supply.
The signal tubes are a pair of original Mullard 12ax7's, one original Mullard 12au7, and the rectifier tube is a CBS Hytron 5Y3WGTA. These tubes are quiet with no noise issues, and very little use. This set easily costs a couple of hundred dollars in todays market.
The Coronet 2 has 44dB of gain, so low output moving coils will need a head amp.
Phono stage is in flawless operating condition, and great physical shape. I do notice a light scratch on one side, but does not photograph.
