While he was best known for directing the groundbreaking "Bonnie and Clyde" he also made one of my all time favorite movies, "Little Big Man" a film that deftly combined the comic and the tragic.

A true talent. Brother of Irving Penn, one of the best photographers (IMHO) of all time.

A very good director.  I didn't know he was the brother of Irving Penn.  A good friend of mine assisted Irving for a year.
