Thanks Nick, those look good.
What device are you currently using. The Android Apads seem to have mixed reviews.
I'm using a Nokia N800 tablet. Software is either mmpc or Sonata. Also, I sometimes use my Thinkpad sub-notebook with GMPC. mmpd has been beta for a long while without any updated, but it's simple and it works. Sonata is a bit more advanced but takes longer to load up.
P.S I want to wire up a simple IR LED and micro-controller to the TTL serial port of my ALIX and use my simple RCA programmable remote to do things like Play, Stop, Shuffle, Random Album. This small remote's volume buttons controls my Placette RVC; the other buttons are free for programming MPD. Ultimately, this one small, simple remote can be used for volume and and controlling MPD in the dark/very low light via feel (only 14 buttons) as opposed to firing up a backlit LCD, which annoys my eyes.
