I see some of you like jazz, or something you refer to as jazz
go hear the real thing this friday and saturday at the bistro, if you like piano jazz.  I heard a splendid show last night.
Take care

I totally forgot about this set. I have seen them both but would have loved to see them again.

still time....tonight and saturday!  IMHO, one of the best shows I've seen at the bistro in a while.  Kenny's show 2 yrs ago was sublimely wonderful, a thing of understated beauty. This duo show was totally different, and equally as engaging.  It's worth dropping most of what you're doing ....:)

I love Kenny Barron and have a couple Mulgrew Miller CD's.  Any self respecting Kenny Barron fan MUST get a hold of "Live at Fat Tuesday's" with a smashing quintet on the Enja label.  Cecil McBee on bass.  Tracks 3 thru 7 out of 7 hardly let up for a minute.  John Stubblefield on tenor contributed one of the best, Something for Ramone.  Mixed at a low level for some reason, so turn it UP!
