Beautiful sounding pair of vintage Allison One speakers. Speakers are in very good overall condition, drivers, surrounds, crossovers, wiring in excellent shape. Cabinet tops are in very good condition but there are a few depressions in the wood. Once oil, they are hardly noticable from a distance. A piece of glass, or mirror could be easily cut to cover and protect the tops. A good wood refinisher may be able to make the tops look in "new" condition. Personnaly, I think they look very good just as they are. Grills are in good condition but do have some flaws. Again, you can hardly pick out the inpefections from a distance.

All-in-all these are in about the same condition you would expect to find in vintage Allison speakers. They are better than average when it comes to the really important part, the drivers.

A wonderful sounding speaker that I have been listening to with a 35 watt per channel tube audio system.

Local pickup in Northern Virginia unless Buyer makes other arrangements.

Please let me know if you have any questions?

Have not seen or heard these in years.  Used to love their speakers.  It's a nice deal for someone needing a pair of speakers.  I'll see it I know someone who might be interested.

Agreed.  A nice set of speakers for the price for sure.

I have a lesser Allison speaker the CD-9 that I've had for 26 years, and they still sound great. This is a great price for a great speaker - the One was Allison's flagship model, and is very musical.

A nice thing about Allison's is that they were designed to work with a room, and be placed against a wall - so they have high WAF and work great in a family room where you don't want the speakers to dominate, but they still provide sound that's better than probably 90% of what I hear at RMAF each year.

Here's a link to more Allison One info:

Good luck with the sale. I'm jealous of whoever picks these up.

Allison 66.2 New Allison Stand Speakers ,These sat on Audiogon for days and days and days, until somebody was wise enough to buy, they went for like 200 or less, somebody got a killer deal, this guy also had a bunch of clements speakers and right now might have a pair up for sale at a silly give a way price.Blows my mind when i see bargains like that and they dont sell.I bought a couple pairs of Clements and pretty easy sold my Legacy Studious with no regrets whatsoever.Look at the $400 clements he has now,un beatable if you ask me,and Clements speakers outstanding clarity from these speakers.
