Goodwin wanted dark brown SoundScape speakers and wasn't too concerned about the actual veneer we used. With a blank slate like that, what were we to do? Time to do something we've wanted to do for a long time.
We veneered the cabinets in a nice quilted maple. We then used a special dye process that involved dyeing the cabinets twice. The result is deeper, richer color than would be possible with a single dye application. It's not exactly a "secret" process in that it has been used on electric guitars for years. But we've never done it before and I think it turned out really nice for our first shot at it.

And an even closer shot...

Happy listening Goodwin!
