Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D
« on: 12 Sep 2010, 07:02 am »
Anyone seen it this weekend?  :o  Not only is this Resident Evil in 3D, it's also available in IMAX. I've liked every movie in this series to date so I have no doubt I'll be embracing this one also. But I'll be waiting a week so I can double this movie up with The Town which will be coming out next friday:D

Cheers,
Robin

Saw this last night.  This movie is easily the worst movie in the Resident Evil franchise.  Not that the franchise is very good, but I keep watching just because I have a soft spot for post-apocalyptic movies.  And besides, female action heroes are usually not hard to look at.

Having said that, this one is no contest the worst one.

Guess I'll just have to hope that I'm more easily entertained than you are (which is usually the case for me).   So how would you rate the movie on a 5 star system? Was either the soundtrack or the 3D effects worth mentioning? Thanks.  :D

I saw this movie on Friday night with a friend.  This film is easily one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my life.  Sure the special effects are great, but there is absolutely no plot.

:D What a Rock & Roll, brainlessly fun movie!  Yeah the plot was kinda lame; yeah the acting wasn't oscar worthy; yeah the 3-D glasses aren't that great; but it also had lots of very cool 3D exploitation shots; zombies; hi-tech weaponry; a bunch of stuff blowing up; some in your face and under your gut sound effects; some completely unrealistic, but visually exciting action sequences; some very hip cinematography; and a couple of very hot females that kick some serious ass!!!   :thumb:

what more do you want from a flick like this?  It's Resident Evil/Biohazard don't take it so seriously and you will have a great time
Cheers

1/5 stars.  Best part was Ali Larter's heaving chest.  Liked the previous movies more than this one.

Rotten Tomato Ratings

Resident Evil - 34%
Resident Evil: Apocalypse - 21%
Resident Evil: Extinction - 22%
Resident Evil: Afterlife - 13%

Worst of the bunch by popular opinion.  I was hoping it would be as good as its three predecessors.

I enjoyed the first three but I felt the first was best, with each film a step down from the last.  By the end of the 3rd movie the Earth is essentially a wasteland so it's hard to imagine just where they can take it from there.  But I love Milla (and Ali Larter) and zombie flicks to it's still a must-see for me.
