I now hear sound all around the front of my room with alot of depth. Bass sounds like its 10' beyond my back wall. Everything sounds fantastic but I wonder, should I be hearing sound down my side walls too. How far out do you guys hear different sounds?

On good recordings I can hear about four feet +/- on either side of the speakers.  On something very specific like Stereophile's Test CD #3, the soundstage track, with the cowbell clanging from side to side, with some of the microphone techniques, I can hear what sounds like 40' on either side of the speakers, and when you point to the sound, almost 90 degrees from the listening position.  Note this is very specific to that recording, or one's like Sting's "The Soul Cages" which employs special ambient production techniques.

Nice point Let, Stereophile CD 2 and 3, tracks 10, are great for checking soundstaging. At one point the gent is 50 feet from the microphone, at the back of the auditorium and walks towards the mic. Lot's of real inner detail information (echoes, spacial Qs etc) from the recording venue relating to depth, width, etc.

Cheers.

I get the same thing with my new Salk SoundScapes.  They are in an untreated room using Master Set placement.
