There ia a Technics SL-QL5 for sale locally and I'm wondering if it worth the time to go look at it. I can't find any info online about this turntable. I want to get back into the vinyl and I'm looking for a decent turntable $400-$500 range. She is asking $500 obo and says it is dead mint...

For $4-$500 you can get a really nice used SL1200.
They come up all the time on Agon.
That table is way over priced.

Yes, this table is way over priced. I'd also stay away from 25 year old  linear trackers. You are limited to which cartridges you can use  (P-mount) and things can go wrong with this arm.
 
 I like the suggestion of a used, (or even new) Technics SL1200(MKII) or  something like that. KAB woould be a good place to start for new. Unless  you undderstand the workings of a table, and have electro-mechanical  abilities, I would stay away from any used TT.
