Original British-made Leak Stereo 20 amplifier, with EL84 output tubes, and Mullard 'shield' tubes in all other positions. Sound: musical, clear, full. This 1959 example is mostly unmodified, stayed in a cabinet most of its life.
Only what was necessary to change underneath was done, capacitors and few resistors, for reliability and quality. New parts in power supply and coupling positions. The original power cord and switch connection for the Leak Point One preamp are there, along with the original umbilical connector cord. The speaker terminals have not been altered, so the amplifier looks completely original from above. A perforated metal bottom plate added for safety and ventilation (almost none of these amps have bottom plates).

US Sylvania EL84s were installed, probably sometime in the 1970's. These test high, as do most of the other tubes. One Mullard ECC83 is marginal so I will provide buyer an additional Mullard tube. The GZ34 rectifier tube is a fat base Blackburn Mullard.

Voltages measure nearly 'spot on', as the English say, and bias is rock stable. I'm asking $950 for this, as shown. If you want to supply your own tubes, I will discount $200. This will be double boxed for shipment, add for FedEx ground.

Thanks for looking; always glad to discuss vintage audio gear with fellow enthusiasts. - Pete

I absolutely love the EL84's and the look of this gem! Should be a nice buy for someone lucky!

well thanks. I am proud of the amplifier.  Here's another pic, since that one was well received.

Anything underneath? I'm just curious, I'm not a potential buyer. I do regret selling my mint one years ago.
