Brotherhood of the Wolf

Saw this movie a couple weeks ago and I am still thinking about it...it was totally not what I expected, I thought it was about werewolves  :nono:
Instead it was a like a spaghetti martial arts-mystery-action movie set in 18th century France. I thought it was almost perfect...perfect roles for Mark Dacascos, Vincent Cassel, Monica Bellucci, every actor was well cast and did a fine job.
I would buy this as a BluRay, whenever that happens...

An oldie but a modern classic! :thumb:  This one could hardly be better, it's great on every level.  The pacing, the cinematograpy, the story- all great.  Ah, and "the twist."  It comes at your from odd angles and doesn't let you get comfortable.  This is a great movie, and I daresay a "must see" despite the age.

Agree, its a fav, though it appears no MOR on this one.  May never get a BR release as its pretty cultish...try to find the Canadian or import as that has an exceptional DTS sound track. Course its in French, but C'est La Vie!!

Mhnnn...well I went seeking...and found there was a BluRay release...only in France, Region 2....so  there is hope one day for a Region 1 ...



In the meantime I found a Director's Cut (2-discs) for like $9. shipped which should tide me over for now.

There is the original French with English sub.-titles...or a dubbed English option...your choice.

I have Le Pact des Loups on HD DVD.
While not a perfect transfer from beginning to end, it still has some great, great scenes and it kills the DVD.
One of my all time favs and loosely based on a true story.
Both the HD DVD and the BD are the director's cut.
For those with an Oppo, you could get the region free mod and order from amazon.fr
