Got my full settlement payment today in the mail concerning the CD Antitrust lawsuit. Thank you Eliot Spitzer, Attorney General of NY. Now where to spend my $13.86 . Anyone else file a claim ? :)

How about some good old Naxos cds?  You can get two for the amount you received back, and the money doesn't go back to those stinkers you got the money from...  :)

Maybe a year or two ago?
Haven't heard back. Is the check the first notification?

19 dollar CD's have me p.o.'ed but I just can't get out of the
habit of owning my music!

Yes. The check is for each person who filed a claim, and payment represents full payment of your portion of the settlement. I filed online at MusicCDSettlement.com...and the only news I received is the check and short statement from Att. Gen. of NY. Mentions also that the lawsuit was brouht by Att. Gen.'s of 43 states and 3 territories.

You could buy a twelver of something pretty nice to enjoy while you listen to the Encyclopedia Metallicus, Vol I!

Wish I'd have gotten in on the settlement.  That's not a lot of money of course, but it's a moral victory.  The hypocritical asses pursue their vendetta against teenage girls who download a britney song while robbing the rest of us blind.  What a bunch of fuckers. :x
