I think in terms of albums rather than songs and these come immediately to mind:

Miles Davis – Tribute to Jack Johnson
Gateway's first 2 albums (Gateway & Gateway 2).

The description of Fusion music is from Wikipedia, see link
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fusion_%28music%29
The list is from DigitalDreamDoor.com 100 Greatest Fusion Songs
http://digitaldreamdoor.nutsie.com/pages/best_fusion_songs.html
There is no original content in aragon63's  post, it is all cut and paste from the aforementioned sources.Disappointing. Also check the posting guidelines under What Else

Scotty

If you deleted all cut and paste entries on this site,I would estimate that half the posts would be eliminated. What's the big deal? Maybe he could have worded it differently but the meat of the subject would not change any.Lighten up,have a beer and listen to some tunes.

Mee too on the Artist - Album - Song hierarchy. So for fusion I tend to check out stuff by the following artists:

- Tribal Tech, and every album every single individual member of this band participated in
- Weather Report
- John McLaughlin
- Chic Corea
- Brand X
- Bill Bruford
- Alan Holdsworth
