Where did you find those?  I can't even find one reference to them searching Google.  The "waveguides" around each driver would lead one to believe they were built from some solid species of wood rather than veneered MDF or plywood.  It looks like Teak.  I like the look of them.

They give the impression of being carved from a solid block of wood.

James:  actual speaker or playing with Photoshop?  You have been known to do that.

Me thinks James is having a bit of fun. The stands alone give it away just to small. Humpty Dumpty would love em.

These looks dreadful.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  There are a few audio people that do like the industrial plumbing look.  But that is one phallic looking phase plug, I must say.

If those speakers are only 8 inches tall, are they designed for the 0.07B-SST2, .14-SST2 and .28-SST2 amplifiers with ratings of .03, .06, and .10 watts respectively from the new Brystiny range    :o

It looks like something from the now defunct Meadlowlark speaker company sans the front firing transmission line slot.  If the picture hasn't be photoshopped, the wood flooring strips at 2 1/4 would put these at 36-44" tall give or take.  Perhaps James has been moonlighting in the woodshop.

I think the Tanners look pretty cool.  Wouldn't fit my wife's current design motif.

I don't know why, but the remind me of dunce caps.

With the shape and the teakwood, they give me an island totem feel.  Bring out the tiki torches.

Actually this is a prototype that James has been working on for nearly ten years.  However, due to their rather low efficiency of < 80dB, they are designed to be tri-amped with three 28BSST2 on each side.

I saw the title of the thread and assumed this is what it was about - http://theangryt.com/?p=739

I guess 'Tanner Audio Speaker' would have made it clearer
