The updated "B" version has similar sound to the original but with many refinements. Sound is more halographic with better inner detail and smoother overall.
Power output is also slightly higher...
120W @ 8 ohms
220W @ 4 ohms

It is possible but pretty costly as most everything would need to be replaced...
2 power transformers, 2 main power supply boards, modify both amplifier modules, two wiring harnesses, and two front panels. These parts, along with labor to do the work would be about $800.
