Buying resistors
« on: 23 Feb 2004, 08:07 pm »
Hi,
I want to build a Cornet in the next few days, but haven´t got any  resitor yet. I´m looking for internet shops, which sell all metalfilm resistors needed for the project in good quality. Further I´m searching for a Riken site.
Can anyone help?
Many thanks and best wishes,
Renton

On the internet the Riken Ohm resistors can be obtained from http://www.angela.com or http://www.partsconnexion.com

I am planning on using a combination of Riken Ohm and Kiwame resistors in my Cornet.  The Kiwame are available from Michael Percy http://www.percyaudio.com or http://www.diyhifisupply in Hong Kong.

Good luck and good fun on your Cornet build.

I used the Kiwame resistors on my Cornet (from Michael Percy).  I haven't switched them to compare, but I'm very happy with the sound.  I only used them in the signal path; metal oxides as the others.  I love the Rikens and used a few in my amp and pre-amp, but I couldn't afford them in the Cornet this time.  (Don't you just love minimum orders!   )

Best of luck!
