Try a cheater plug. If the hum goes away.....Um.....Somebody smarter than me will tell ya' about using a plug on a different leg of the breaker box, or something to that affect.

Try a search on this site. There was a lot of discussion on this topic several years ago.
My problem was the satellite tv connection to my system. A Rolls transformer between the sat box and preamp fixed the problem. Many here like the Jensen transformers.
