GAS HD Upgraditus - Upgraded...almost
« on: 6 Aug 2010, 01:37 pm »
Hiya Guys,

Well, I've got upgraditus. I've got the itch to get either a plasma or one of the new LED backlit LCD TV's. That means my 62" Mits available.

Most of you guys have seen it in action at one of the many parties at the house. Here's a summary cut sheet on the Mits;

She's been well taken care of. She could probably use a new lamp. They are about $100 from DLPLampsource.com (OEM lamps). If you remember when we did the calibration, the guy mentioned that it snapped right in on component inputs but the HDMI inputs were a little off. No big deal since the Mits does its 1080P scaling on board.

Obviously I'm only doing a local sale. I'd be happy to load it up and deliver it to your place but I'll need your help getting this big bastard out (and into) your place. While we're at it, I'd like to get your help getting whatever I buy on the return trip to my place.

I've been doing a little research on the Mits 62628 on Craigslist. Keep in mind this is the Diamond Series which was their top of the line a few years ago. Most I've found are selling for between $900 and $1700 (on the high side). I'll let it go to one of the Gateway guys for $500.

This is a pretty good way if somebody get into a quality, HD big screen for not much money.

PM me id you are interested. I can send the full PDF O&M manual if you want. Obviously you can come by and check it out. We can order in a pizza and watch a movie or two. Oh, I'll likely be buying our new TV from Tim so we'll stop by his place on the way back from yours to grab my new one.

I don't need to buy another TV, but I'm interested in this part.

Thanks man,  :wink:

I wish I had somewhere to put that.  That is well worth it.

Well, just got off the phone with a friend of mine George, you may have met him at the BBQ a few weeks ago. Anyway, it looks like the Mits is spoken for by his son  :thumb:

Next up is to go and see Tim  :green:
