franklin mint recordings

I recently received a large box filled with the Franklin Mint "best 100 recordings of all time".
I laughed a well meaning snicker and was going to just round file the whole bin or just bin the whole round file, dunno which but decided to flip one of these recordings on just to see. Holy smokes, these things really are nice. I see little mention on line of these recordings and have seen these collections sell for not a lot of $$$. The recordings themselves are well known according to a well informed vinyl pal, it is just the franklin mint pressings being the strange thing here, very quiet, very dynamic, well the equal of any true audiophile vinyl I have. Don't hesitate to pick these things up if you see them.
I have one on now and after listening to classic records 45rpm pressings all day these things don't fall down in comparison.
Hate to let the cat out of the bag but I already have almost a complete set so go get them.

Glad to hear it!  About two years ago I asked if these were any good and got a lukewarm response here.  I went ahead and bought ten (double) albums, pristine all, for $35 total.

Tonight, with Scott F's help I have resurrected my SOTA TT (after 10+ years), and am digging out all of my favorite LPs.

All I can say is HOT DAMN!

lemme know what you think, mine are all very quiet playing, all been cleaned via nitty gritty though.
