Minimum space for Stratos Stereo
« on: 29 Jul 2010, 10:19 am »
The official website says the amps "can be positioned even in small spaces"
http://www.odysseyaudio.com/odyssey-unified-usersmanual.html (page 5)

So what small is small? any guideline for the minimum required clearance for the Stratos Stereo or else for ventilation?
Thank you

I would leave about 2-3 inches around all the sides, top, and the back at minimum.

I have Kismetros monos and leave them out in the open to stay cool. I have fairly efficient speakers with a benign impedance load, so even at high volumes for long periods of time, they stay very cool.

Well my amps never get hot.  Maybe just slightly warm.  So I'll bet you don't need a lot of space.  But that said, I keep mine out in the open...because I can, and I like the way it looks  8)

Soooo...are my cool amps a function of the equipment design or the space I allow?
