Sorry guys.  That's tooooooo bad. I think I copied down wrong somewhere.  The nyc parks site works.  I checked.  The Lincoln Center probably I goofed...... The Bryant Park one I couldn't find the info either.  But, I think I saw it in the nycgovparks site....?  I wasn't sure if I am going to go, so I didn't do my homework 100%.  I'm sure you can track down the event.

The summer is slowly fading away...  the major freebees series are ending this week, Prospect Park ended this past weekend. Lincoln Center outdoors closes out this coming weekend.
Friday 13th features the Kronos Quartet with guest Gamelan Galak Tika...free free..
Quote
repertoire features works by Steve Reich, Café Tacuba, and the world premiere of Christine Southworth’s Super Collider. Performed by Kronos with the 14 musicians of Gamelan Galak Tika (Evan Ziporyn, artistic director) using the virtual Gamelan Elektrika, designed and developed by Harmonix’s Alex Rigopulos (of Guitar Hero and Rock Band), Super Collider juxtaposes two sound worlds and traditions, the string quartet and the ancient gamelan, through the unlimited sonic universe of electronics.

I like girls with any color hair.   They're okay, though I like the Talking Heads better.  Hey, but a go-go is also playing, so I'm going.

Martin - How was the concert last night?  I was with some friends and we ended up walking over to LC for the last 15 minutes of the concert.

Paul,
Are the SummerStage concerts in Central Park finished for the season?
Don't forget the Dumpster Pools on Park Avenue these next few Saturdays.
That just sounds so right!

Chris,
The Charlie Parker show does sound excellent.
Out here in Salt Lake it was madness last week for the Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, which is a Brooklyn group, I believe.  I didn't attend the Red Butte Gardens Mary Chapin Carpenter show this past Sunday night ($50 to $75, cough...), but my friends said it was an excellent concert.
Our last 3 free concerts of the season are:
Matisyahu
Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe
Big Boi
Chromeo
She & Him
Dum Dum Girls
I think the last two have the most interest for me.
