When I was eight years old, my Mom gave me my first radio. It was this off-white thing, about the size of a shoe box, with a big clear-plastic tuner dial with raised gold numbers for the station indicators. I remember it like I saw it today, but I have no idea whatever happened to it.

Anyway, back on Topic: The song radio stations were playing the hell out of back then was America's 'Horse With No Name'. I loved that song.
I have had a lot of systems since then. I'm not sure if I would have had any of them if I didn't like how cool that song sounded on that old white radio with the big ol' dial.

Great Topic. Thanks for the memories!
Have fun,
Jerry
